Billy Lovett

Billy Lovett serves as the Managing Principal for Brookwell Capital Group, the Managing Partner for Brookwell Capital Partners and Brookwell Property Investments. Mr. Lovett’s career is a unique blend of accomplishments in the private and public sectors. Governor George Busbee appointed him to the Economic Development Council of Georgia. Lovett was also elected to the Public Service Commission where he served for 12 years. The Association of Energy Engineers named him “Regulator of the Year.” In 1990 Lovett was elected to serve as Chairman of the Republican Party of Georgia. Mr. Lovett most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for Key Property Solutions. He helped Key Property launch a SFR Fund which was recently sold to The Blackstone Group.

His duties are seeking and managing investment opportunities for Brookwell Capital Group and U.S. Strategic Capital Corp. Mr. Lovett’s experience has been in acquisition, finance, marketing and management. He founded several companies and was an investor and organizer of four banks. His advisory firm consulted clients on transaction structuring, private equity and finance in businesses from banking to real estate.

Mr. Lovett serves on the Board of Digitel Corporation, The City Club of Buckhead, and the Advisory Board of Compass Real Estate Funds, U.S. Strategic Capital Corp. and a not for profit Sisters by Choice. He has formerly served on the boards of USO Georgia, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Georgia State University’s Urban Affairs Committee, and the board of trustees of the North Georgia Methodist Foundation.

Mr. Lovett was named “One Hundred Most Influential Georgians” by Georgia Trend magazine. After 9/11, he served as a Major in the Georgia Defense Force. Lovett attended Georgia State University, Southern Christian University, Mercer, ABAC and holds two degrees.
